Being mindful of the environment is important for many travelers, even when they are on vacation. So, when trying to choose where to stay in Costa Rica for these particular vacationers, choices can be rather slim. Well, until now. Casa de Luz is very eco-friendly, from the villa’s cleaning products, to its solar power, to their special lighting in order to live next to the tortoise sanctuary.
Where to Stay in Costa Rica for the Eco-Friendly
Casa de Luz, the luxury beach villa in the town of Langosta, takes living as one with the environment very seriously. It is the villa’s goal to do no harm to the environment. Of course, it is impossible to have zero impact, but this is a villa rental that goes far beyond what any other property in the area is doing. This is why those who believe in protecting the environment book their group retreats, destination weddings and family reunions at Casa de Luz and mark it as their “where to stay in Costa Rica.”
Adding to the charm of the villa, it is right next door to a nature preserve. Leatherback sea turtles frequent this preserve and so Casa de Luz uses special lighting in order to keep them coming back. (Lighting is one of the issues than can make them abandon their favorite nesting ground.) In addition to the next door preserve, Casa de Luz uses solar panels for the majority of their power, a double septic system is used to make sure the water is clean enough to return to the ocean and environmentally-friendly household cleaning products are used for villa upkeep.
