Fun Activities to Do in Costa Rica

If you’ve spent your life searching for that pristine deserted beach that is loaded with wild parrots, lizards, sea life and no people, this is the fun activity to do in Costa Rica for you! Corcovado National Park is in the Oso Peninsula on the west side of the country and is the last of the rainforest on the western side of the country. See monkeys, pumas, sloths, poison dart frogs, scarlet macaw parrots and hermit crabs all running around in the wild, living their normal lives. This park isn’t easy to get to, so call a tour company for a tour. Lodging is available on the peninsula on the east side.

The Puntarenas Carnival takes place before Lent. It is one of Costa Rica’s more famous and very popular celebrations. Dance through the night with locals and thousands of tourists to celebrate under the fireworks. This celebration takes place in the town of Puntarenas every year in February or March.

If you need a little heart pounding excitement, but want to get it in a comfortable seat on a boat, go see the crocodiles of Rio Tarcoles. You will see a lot of them just laying around catching some sunshine or having lunch. There are plenty of other wild animals and parrots to see there, as well.
